Frontline Worker Leadership Capability Feedback Tool

Vision

Seeing what is possible for people who use services, carers and communities now and in the future

Making a difference

I find ways to improve the quality of the lives of others by working closely with them to plan their future. I involve people who use my service in identifying the best opportunities for them. I am an active team member and I positively support all my colleagues to achieve better outcomes.

Communicating and promoting ownership of the vision

I can (and do) clearly describe the work I do and how it makes a difference to people's lives. I can (and do) explain to people that I work with the difference my work can make to people’s futures. I find opportunities to promote the work I do with pride and confidence.

Promoting social service values

I meet professional practice codes, focus on the needs of people who use services and plan my work to ensure that I meet their needs. I put outcomes for individuals, families and the community first. I challenge others who are not working to professional codes and whose attitudes and behaviours undermine our values.

Seeing the bigger picture

I keep my professional knowledge up-to-date and deliver services that meet individual needs. I adapt what I do to meet challenges when working with individuals, families, the community and others. I am aware of, and take responsibility for, my team’s goals and plans and encourage others to do the same.
